What About an OPEN HOUSE?

Unless open houses are particularly well-attended in your neighborhood, you might want to forgo these events altogether or just hold one open house the first or second weekend after your home is listed. Some surveys suggest that open houses are more beneficial for the agent (gathering possible buyer's contact information)  than the home seller and that only a tiny percentage of homes are sold as the direct result of an open house.

TIP: In our area "OPEN HOUSES" usually draw more people who are just curious about what  "your" house looks like inside than they are in buying it! I beleive that in a smaller town like Perryton, IF someone was TRULY interested in looking and BUYING your house, they would have already looked before the OPEN HOUSE ever happened. I've held OPEN HOUSES in Perryton and actually had not one single person show up. Unless, it's a "HIGH END" house, you don't even get the "Looky Lou's"!
